Nick has been teaching hockey players of all ages around Southern Ontario for over eleven years, from House League level to Elite AAA, OHL and even the National Hockey League. Nick’s coaching experience with several teams and organizations across Ontario makes him a well-rounded instructor with vast knowledge and expertise, and as such he continues to provide a highly sought-after, unique approach to hockey development theories.
Nick currently coaches the Senior AAA Hamilton Steel hawks as well as the Men’s Hockey program at Redeemer College. Nick surrounds himself with qualified on-ice staff who support his teaching approach while exemplifying his dynamic techniques and bringing the same enthusiasm to each session.
Ryan has been teaching hockey skills on and off the ice since 2011. He has coached multiple levels and everything from IP Program to Novice Rep up to and including Midget AAA. Off the ice Ryan has had a hand in developing off-ice training program sutilized by OHL teams (Barrie Colts and Erie Otters) and has a variety of coaching certifications.
Ryan enjoyed a good Jr. career and spent 2 seasons with Mohawk College’s tournament team. Ryan’s blend of playing, life, coaching and business experiences allows him to communicate amongst the best and provide a thorough, healthy and strong learning environment for any and all players.
Kyle’s coaching style fosters a strong sense of self-confidence that kids can transfer on and off the ice.
He has a passion for coaching hockey and emphasizes the importance of trying your hardest and giving it your best. Kyle has an incredible ability to motivate players to achieve their best through the continued development of hockey skills and strengthening their understanding of game situations and their hockey sense
Spencer Ridgewell’s ability to connect with minor hockey players is what separates him and other coaches. His energy is contagious and his stick handling and shooting techniques are very effective, efficient and translate well into game play.
Spencer has played 2 World Championships with U19 and 2 World Championships with Men’s Team Canada Floorball (teammates with world famous Pavel Barber). Spencer has also worked directly under NHL shooting Coach Tim Turk at Coast to Coast hockey academy.
Christy is a figure skating coach who trains all ages and abilities including Olympic figure skaters as well as OHL and QMJHL hockey players. Christy’s specialty is definitely her ability to teach extreme agility, balance, edges (both inside and outside), smooth stride and rhythm. Her passion for the skill of skating and teaching has only grown over her time spent with the Hamilton Figure Skating Club and NSH.
Christy brings youthful energy and timeless knowledge to the rink every skate and pours it into her students. You won’t need a puck but you will definitely need your work ethic and willingness to learn!
Shiann is the perfect example of what happens when passion meets talent. Shiann offers an inside edge to players having had such a successful playing career herself
This allows her to instill in her students what it takes to be one of the best. Shiann has played for her country, Team USA (World Cup Gold Medal – 2016, 2-4 Nations Cups, 2014 Silver, 2015 Gold), 3 years pro hockey for the Toronto Furies (CWHL), is a Quinnipiac University Alumni (2015) and an Isobel Cup Champion (2017). Her confidence and ability shows on the ice and she puts it into all of her players.
